Corrections
The Next Testament is not set in stone. The online edition is corrected when an error is found, and every change to the published text is listed on this page: when it was made, where, what changed, and who raised it, if they are willing to be named.
This edition
Edition 1.0, published online in October 2026: the scripture of all eighty books, and the commentary on every section.
Before publication, the scripture was checked word for word against the translations it is printed from, and the commentary went through several rounds of review for accuracy, consistency and voice. Those reviews were done by AI reviewers, not by human scholars.
What gets corrected
- Errors of fact: a date, a name, a historical claim, or a claim about what scholars hold.
- Quotations that don't match their source, and scripture printed incorrectly.
- Readings. A disagreement about interpretation is not an error. But where a reader shows that the commentary has misread a passage, or left out something that changes it, the commentary is revised, and the revision is listed here too.
