Help
Answers to the usual questions. Anything else: hello@thenexttestament.org. Write from the address you bought with, and we will usually reply within two working days.
I paid, but the edition is still locked
Payment is usually confirmed within seconds; with some payment methods it takes longer. If you have paid and the reader still shows the edition as locked, open the reader, choose Restore access in the contents menu, and enter the email address you used at checkout. If that does not work within an hour, write to us with that address.
Reading on another device
Access is tied to your email address, not to a device. On the new phone, tablet or computer, open the reader, choose Restore access, and enter the address you bought with. We send a sign-in link that works for 20 minutes. Open it on that device.
The sign-in link did not arrive, or has expired
Check your spam or junk folder for a message from hello@thenexttestament.org. Links work for 20 minutes; ask for a new one under Restore access. The link only goes to an address that has bought the edition, so make sure it is the one you used at checkout.
I no longer have the email address I bought with
On any device where you are already signed in, you can keep reading: sign-ins last a year. To move your access to a new address, write to hello@thenexttestament.org from the new address, with the old address, the date and amount of the purchase, and either the last four digits of the card you paid with or the receipt number from Stripe's email. Once we have matched these to the payment, we move your access, and you can sign in at the new address with Restore access. We ask for these details so that no one else can claim your purchase.
A charge I don't recognise
A charge from THENEXTTESTAMENT.ORG (in the United States) or LINK.COM* THENEXTTESTA… (elsewhere, where Stripe's Link is the seller) is a purchase of reading access to The Next Testament. Outside the United States it may be in your own currency. If you did not make it, write to us and we will look into it straight away.
Receipts and tax
Stripe emails a receipt when you pay. Outside the United States, Stripe is the seller of record and the receipt shows any VAT or GST included in the price; questions about that payment can also go to Stripe through the link in the receipt.
Refunds
Access begins as soon as you pay, so purchases are final, except for a double charge or access we cannot fix within seven days. The details are in the terms of sale.
Downloading or printing
The edition is read online only; there is no download, and printing is turned off. Short quotations, with attribution, are welcome.
Reporting a mistake
If you find an error in the commentary, or a place where it is unfair, we want to know. Write to us with the book and section, and what is wrong. Corrections appear in the reader as they are made.
