Deuteronomy

Old Testament · 21 sections · scripture: Berean Standard Bible

We call it Deuteronomy from the Greek — deuteronomion, "second law" — and the name is half a mistake and half a truth. The mistake is old: a phrase in chapter 17 — "a copy of this instruction," in the translation here — was read by the early Greek translators as "this second law," and the label stuck.
