Isaiah
Old Testament · 24 sections · scripture: Berean Standard Bible
The prophets begin with the largest of them, and the one the New Testament could not stop quoting. Isaiah son of Amoz saw the Lord "seated on a throne, high and exalted" in the year King Uzziah died — around 740 BC — and spoke for him through the reigns of four kings of Judah, the years when Assyria swallowed the northern kingdom and came to Jerusalem's gate.
